Intimate Wedding- Love during COVID-19

In a normal year, lots of Indians (myself included) would be getting ready to attend weddings right about now steam-ironing new suits and polishing their old Benarasi and Zardosi, ordering gifts for the happy couples, preparing for Haldi, rehearsing dance steps, rearranging the gold custom jewelry. But as we all well know by now, 2020 is no normal year. The global pandemic and the social-distancing policies that have been put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19 have effectively ruled out large gatherings and made many people, in particular the elderly, much more hesitant to go far from home.

Dibyendu and Radhika who live in the beautiful city of Bengaluru had decided to get married in June the 13th (any day can be a lucky day when you are in love) at a cottage, amidst nature, 55 km away from the hustle and bustle of one of the busiest cities of our country.

Guests number was 25 including our team but the enjoyment was at the peak from both ends. Dibyendu and Radhika knew each other from 2015 and it can be easily felt from their faces how happy they were tieing the knot to stay together forever despite all these pandemic issues.

Thank you for shooting Our Special Day. Our experience working with you was fantastic and the pictures you captured are outstanding and really captured the magic of the day.

It was one of the offbeat experiences we had in the last 3 years since the inception of our company. Dibyendu’s parents and relatives could not make it to the wedding but attended every ceremonial ritual via live streaming via YouTube.

Technology helps sometimes and can prove a blessing if used wisely. Let’s not delay any further and enjoy the most intimate wedding covered by me and Debarshi in a complete lockdown situation. Let’s spread more love in these testing times.
